Fiona Niland is an Irish visual artist based in the west of Ireland. Her current figurative paintings explore bodies encountering water, light, gravity and open space. Moving between structure and atmosphere, weight and release, the work considers what it feels like to be physically present within a world that both contains and acts upon us.
